Course description

This is the first of a series of modules addressing the topic of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. It provides a description of the causes and symptoms of FASD, as a foundation for following modules that address practices for educators and others working with children who have FASD and their families.

Nature of Kids

Monica graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology in 1980. She is registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and certified by the AECEO and has an Early Childhood Resource Teacher certificate from Humber College. She has worked in Child Care, Co-Operative Preschool and has been a Resource Teacher and Resource Consultant and is experienced in most aspects of the ECE field. Monica has worked as a Special Needs Consultant and Professional Education Consultant in Hamilton, Ontario and has presented at conferences all across Canada.
